Shooting through things

Influencer

A quick post today - to upload some new content and keep my blog fresh. My goal is to write a new entry once per week.

The photo accompanying today’s post is a reminder to myself to look to shoot thru things. I like this photo somewhat in and of itself - the subject here standing beneath a famous BCN tourist attraction - El Pont del Bisbe (Bishop’s Bridge). What gives it greater appeal, however, is its depth. In this instance, I shot with a Sigma 85 at 1.4 (highly recommended) with two blurred out people in the foreground. I like how this gives the subject some pop and 3D dimensionality.

At any rate, I think the idea of including things in the frame that help draw focus is great. And to create depth. It’s something that I’m going to try and be more aware and mindful of moving forward. I hope this gives you some inspiration to consider this also.

Happy Tuesday folks, Heath
